Attention: Special Halloween Return guidelines

  • There are no returns after Halloween.
  • Due to the nature of our business, we will not accept returns on merchandise purchased on or after October 15th
  • Any exchanges must be made for equal or higher value before October 25th.

These items are NEVER returnable:
• Special Order Items - including all Mascots, and all individual items over $200
• Props that require special delivery
• All Party Supplies & Decorations
• Any & all International orders
• Any item that has been worn, used or altered. And any item purchased between October 10-31.


These items may be returned ONLY if they are in their unopened, original packaging.(Items must not have been worn, used or altered in any way.)
• Undergarments, socks and stockings
• Shoes & Boots (Does not apply to shoe covers, boot tops, or costume shoes designed for indoor use only or one time wear.) Shoes that show obvious wear or are missing the original packaging    are not refundable.
• Wigs, beards, facial hair or any other artificial hair, prosthetics, cosmetics, fangs or any other fake teeth. Products in zip-lock bag style packaging or any bag/box that is not factory sealed is NOT returnable.
• Any item that has been worn, used, or altered


Guidelines
• Refunds are for the cost of the merchandise only and do NOT include shipping & handling charges
• If your order was shipped for free, we will refund your order minus the actual cost of postage
• Returns postmarked & returned to us past the 14 days will be refused or destroyed, and will not be eligible for a refund
• Returns will incur a restocking free for the following reasons:
       • Items postmarked between 8-14 days from when the order was received will incur a 30% restocking fee
       • Items refused upon delivery or undeliverable packages will incur a 30% restocking fee
       • If 3 or more items from any single order are returned, a 20% restocking free will be applied

• You must obtain a return authorization number (RA#) within 7 days of original receipt. Please email us at returns@maxcostumes.com or call us at 888-969-8884 to initiate a return.
• Please send your unwanted item to : Max Costumes Returns 2201 Francisco Drive 140-173, El Dorado Hills, Ca 95762. All items must be received by our returns department within 14 days of original receipt.
• Make sure item to be returned is not altered, stained, torn, or otherwise damaged.
• Repackage your item as it was originally shipped to you.
• Do not attach tape, glue, or any other material that might damage packaging when we receive your return.
• Include the original packing slip or a printed receipt of your order with your return.
• Include brief description of reason for return.
• Ship back to us at the above address using your preferred shipping company.
• To insure your return is received by us, please make sure to use delivery confirmation.
• Once received, we will inspect your return. This process may take from 2-5 business days.
• After passing quality control checks, a refund will be issued to you minus shipping. Please note if you return 3 or more items from your order a 20% restocking fee will apply.
• If a refund request is denied based on the above criteria, we will not automatically contact you. Items that are denied a refund are held for 30 days & only returned if the customer remits payment for hte applicable return shipping fees.


Please do not refuse your shipment in an attempt to return your order. You must follow the return guidelines listed above. All refused orders will incur a 30% restocking fee.

If you'd like to exchange your costume for a different size, we highly suggest you cross ship. To process a cross ship exchange, place a new order for the correct exchanged item you'd like to purchase. This process is required due to the fact that the desired item(s) may be out of stock by the time we receive your return. This procedure also ensures that you receive your replacement item(s) quickly. All appropriate policies apply to all returned items.

Although rare, sometimes an item with a manufacturing problem gets past quality control checks. For these items we can make special arrangements to reship, refund, or exchange on a case by case basis at our cost. We're willing to do anything within reason to make sure you're satisfied.
Please contact us directly via phone or email if this is the case with your order.

We want your business, and we want you to be happy with each and every item you order through us. However, there are of course limitations to what we can do. Please make sure none of the below circumstances apply to you before sending in your return.
• I've already had my order for longer that 7 days.
• I've altered my costume. (cutting, sewing, dying, gluing, etc)
• I've washed my costume.
• I don't have a RA# or I have an RA# but have waited to ship it off and it will not get back to Max Costumes within the 14 days from original receipt.
• I've worn my costume for much longer than it takes to try on for sizing.
• I don't have my original packing anymore.
• I don't have my receipt or account information.
• I've torn my costume from wearing it or trying on an undersized costume.
If any of the above circumstances apply to you, we are very sorry, but we cannot process a return or exchange. If you've somehow damaged your costume, you may be able to find a seamstress or costumer who can repair any damages and/or resizing. If any of the above limitations apply to you and you still attempt to return your items, we will be forced to refuse the package and have it back to you at your expense.

PLEASE READ:
Our standard restocking fee for returned orders of three or more items is 15%. If during inspection we find damage, rips, stains, deodorant marks, food stains, body fluids, fabric piling from usage or other problems with your return we will contact you via email or telephone and provide you with the option of returning your order back to you at your expense or the assessment of an additional fee not to exceed 60% of your purchase price. Please do not ship these items to us. Any returns falling in this category must be destroyed or shipped back to the customer.
